Led the brand and layout redesigns for 3 acquired publications. Met with editors and sales teams to determine the voice of the publication as well as the content structure to cater to the target audience. Created a new set of branding guidelines to achieve each mission statement.
Pharmaceutical Executive: Layout and logo redesign. I focused on modernizing the fonts and layout of the brand while providing more space between the text and images. When redesigning the brand, editors wanted to keep the executive look to the publication while adding more flexibility within the article to accommodate images and graphs without compromising the text. As the lead graphic designer of Pharmaceutical Executive, I manage the publication from start to finish, flowing copy through templates and making sure ads and images are color corrected for printing.
Applied Clinical Trials: Layout and logo redesign. With this redesign, I wanted to focus on the mission statement of the brand while creating a sleek and modern layout. I added a sidebar to incorporate pull quotes and images so that the text would be easier to read. The new style modernizes the color palette while removing any distracting elements from the previous design.
Turbomachinery International: Layout and logo redesign. I cleaned up the interior pages, keeping the central "Turbo Red" color as the accent and adding space for the text and images to compliment each other. Moving from a 3 column layout to 2 columns allowed for the addition of a sidebar that could accommodate larger images and pull quotes. The page titles were made smaller to give the article more room and the fonts were updated.

Publication design for the fictional dance magazine called Studio Magazine. I designed the masthead to reflect elegance and strength and experimented with type placement throughout the publication.
Shofuso Publication

Experimental typographic publication designed based on the Shofuso Japanese House and Garden in Fairmount (Philadelphia), PA. Assignment was to research and photograph a landmark in Philadelphia and create a publication about the location.

30 page catalog focusing on the wall drawing of Sol Lewitt. Large format book at 18" x 13" modeled after the exhibit at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.
